I found this link on Twitter saying that the Bank of Russia will put out a coint with the Be-200 printed on it by today(Monday, february 3rd).

I am very pleased to hear this, but i am also wondering if someone is willing to help me get a hold of one of those coins? I am a bit of a coin-collector, and i would love to add this to my small collection of russian coins.

- Oscar, the coin is made with 925/1000 silver fineness, and the mintage is 5 ths. pcs., which is not so many - http://cbr.ru/eng/bank-notes_coins/memorable_coins/current_year_coins/print.aspx?file=140203_eng.htm, so I think it will be quite expensive to buy. Unfortunately, I failed to find any respective contact references on the Central Bank of Russia site, so I would advise you to contact either Bank of Sweden or your local coin collecting outlet - I guess they know more about how to get those Russian coins in Sweden.

Oscar is the right decision to keep their money in Russian rubles
Ruble soon become the most stable in the world after the Chinese yuan :)

Wow, that does sound like it could be expensive. Especially as i only after looking at that link found out about the Yak-3 coin. :(

Unfortunately, doing a quick Google search looking for "coin collectors Stockholm" hasn't yielded any results so far, only eBay ads of people selling their collections.

Also, when it comes to contacting the central bank, i am not exactly sure what to say. I might be able to think of something, but it might take some time.

So if i got this right, you think it might be hard to find them as people might want to keep on to them even though they don't collect coins?

- I'm sure there are coin/numismatic outlets in Stockholm, every city has them.

- just say you would like to buy recently minted Russian memorial coins - at least they might give you an advice where to search further.

- Oscar, that was a joke, especially keeping in mind that rouble has lost almost 10 % of value compared to EUR and USD within last 2 months. :P

Im sure of it too, but i couldn't find anything other than people selling their coins.

I sent them an e-mail just now asking exactly that, actually. Now i just have to wait and see.

Well, Eugene, i did send the central bank, or Riksbanken, and they couldn't help me. But they did refer me to the Russian embassy. So now i am awaiting a reply from them. Oh how i hate waiting for something.

- Oscar, I'm afraid that waiting for any reply from the Russian embassy might be endless... I just know this country. :P What about searching at Swedish forums of coin collectors? Or to search for coin selling outlets, but not in the Internet (small shops might have no Internet page) - try to use phone/address books like Yellow Pages of Stockholm.

Actually, Eugene, i did get a reply from the embassy today. Sadly it wasn't the one i was hoping for. They can't help me either.

I could give it another go, searching for coin collectors in Sweden. And actually, when i widened my search from just Stockholm i did find one person i could ask.
