Spotting stored planes in Moscow

A random thought just occurred to me: say i go to Moscow, which i am intending to do in a year or two, and i'd like to get some photos of the stored aircraft at Domodedovo, Vnukovo and/or Sheremetyevo... would that be possible? And i don't mean through some fences or something, i mean inside the perimeter. Would it be possible to get a permit or a guide or something in order to access that part of the field?

I am thinking especially of the masses of Tupolevs and Ilyushins that were there a few years back. I know that, unless they are already, they might be gone within that timeframe. But if there are some still there i would really love to get some photos of them. And who knows, maybe even a souvenir?

- hardly. Only in case you _personally_ know someone working there. Additional difficulty is you are a foreign citizen - in our country a "spy-mania" sometimes exceeds any reasonable limits. Plus all additional security restrictions connected with "fight with terrorism" etc. For example, in many cases airport security staff is still sure that it is prohibited to make pictures in airport terminal, on airfield during embarkment etc., "because airport is a strategic object".

I know some years ago Domodedovo was organizing a kind of airport tours for spotters, but last time it was 5 years ago or so.

Ah, ok. Well, if that's the situation i guess there's not much i can change. I mean i don't know anyone personally who lives in Moscow, let alone anyone who works at the airport.

The "spy-mania" as you called it and the fight on terror does make a bit of sense, even if such things can get out of hand. However i am not aware of the exact situation in Russia. But i understand that it might cause a bit of suspicion.

If the tours stopped 5 years ago that would explain the lack of photos from the storage areas. The latest i have been able to find so far is from 2009.
