Thanks, Alex.
Since the SAS MD-80's, which were my favorites at ARN, were retired i haven't felt the same about going there. It's not as much fun i think. I might start going out there more often now when there are rare visitors.

I wish I can see a MD - and to hear the sound.
Maybe one day we meet in Arlanda.
Thanks, Oleg.
The MD-80's are absolutely lovely aircraft, from the outside anyway. I've never flown on one, so i don't know what they are like on the inside.
ok101 писал(а):BTW, is there any open spots (with a sight not through the glass) there - a terrace or just an "over-fence" spot?
There used to be a terrace, but that was closed looooong ago because people had complained that they got kerosene on them. There are three outdoor spots that i have used, represented on this map by red dots, the one between 01R/19L and 08/26 being the official one and the one where these pictures are taken.
There are more unofficial spotting points along the runways, but i've never been to any of those.

Сейчас же они убрали все надписи Fifa, зато мячи оставили.
I do infact have that one. It's standing right next to my SAS MD-80 and MD-90.

May 21 and Bromma Airport was celebrating it's 80th year of operation, having opened on May 23, 1936. This time though, the open house had moved to a different area of the airport, which sadly was not very good for spotting. That didn't really matter since there was hardly any traffic. It was a pretty small open house, not much to do, and no DC-3 which was quite a shame. Damn you, Swedavia!
There were some pictures taken though.
SE-DSO.
SE-DJN.
Both DSO and DJN are, as you can see, painted in the new Flyg BRA livery, created for the merger of Braathens Regional and Malmö Aviation. Personally, i am not a fan of either the new name or the livery. The stewardess and pilot i spoke to were however very nice.
Now, forgive me for posting this poor picture, but...
I have wanted to get a picture of the IBA Brasilia for years! But i've never been able to as it's always been parked where i can't get a clear view. This was the best picture i could get.
Thanks for looking and i hope you enjoyed these few pictures.
